FOLLOW GOD, NOT ALL SUCCESS!

It is not every success story, you see out there, you should take. Some success stories will take you away from the truth, cause your downfall, and make you not to reach the spotlight.

FOLLOW GOD, NOT ALL SUCCESS!

It is not every success story, you see out there, you should take. Some success stories will take you away from the truth, cause your downfall, and make you not to reach the spotlight.

The knowledge of yesterday can not necessarily be important for tomorrow. The knowledge of yesterday might be outdated for tomorrow's success!

Follow God, not all success! If you want to remain relevant in your field, at all seasons and every events of life, under the sun, on earth, in our world.

I will tell you of an educating good story of a new prophet, in the Bible. How a man of God was deceived by an old prophet, he followed the old prophet, instead of God's message — because he believes the old prophet have experienced with God and knows God better.

That it is "1 Kings 13"; here is the story according to the scripture. Executive.

In 1 Kings 13, the Bible tells the story of a new prophet sent by God with a clear instruction. God told him not to eat bread or drink water in that land, neither to return by the way he came. The young prophet obeyed initially. But along the way, he met an old prophet who claimed that an angel had spoken to him, changing the instructions God gave.

Sadly, the young prophet trusted the old prophet’s words more than the voice of God. He sat down to eat and drink where God told him not to. That disobedience cost him his life.

This is not just a Bible story—it is a life lesson.

Lessons to Learn. Executive.

1. Not All Success is God’s Success

The old prophet represented “success” in the eyes of men—age, experience, and history with God. But that did not mean he was carrying God’s truth in that moment. In life, not every successful man or woman you see on TV, social media, or in your environment is walking in God’s light. Some success can mislead you if it is not rooted in truth.

Lesson: Measure success by God’s word, not by man’s applause.

2. Clarity from God Must Not Be Replaced by the Voices of Men

The young prophet had already heard God clearly, but he allowed someone else’s “experience” to override what he knew was true. Many people today lose direction because they follow trends, gurus, or influencers instead of the voice of God within them.

Lesson: What God told you in secret will sustain you more than what others promise in public.

3. Yesterday’s Knowledge is Not Enough for Today’s Walk

The old prophet had a history with God but was no longer walking in the freshness of His word. This is why following “old knowledge” without fresh revelation can mislead. The knowledge of yesterday is not always relevant for today. God is always doing a new thing.

Lesson: Stay updated with God’s truth daily. Don’t rely on yesterday’s fire to survive today’s battle.

4. Relevance Comes by Obedience, Not Popularity

The young prophet had a divine mission. If he had obeyed fully, his relevance would have lasted. But one act of compromise cut his destiny short. Likewise, your relevance in life, business, career, or ministry is not by how many people follow you, but by how faithfully you follow God.

Lesson: Obedience to God’s truth will keep you relevant in every season.

Life Application for Today. Executive.

In business: Don’t copy every trend; build on principles of truth and integrity.

In relationships: Don’t follow “success stories” of others blindly—ask God for your path.

In personal growth: Update your mind with fresh truth, not recycled voices that no longer align with God.

Final Word

Executive, your life is not to be patterned by every so-called success you see around. Some will lead you closer to God, others will lead you far away from Him.

Choose God’s truth above all things. Follow God, not all success. If you do, you will remain relevant—not just today, but in every season of life, under the sun, on earth, and in eternity.
