FG, ASUU meet in Abuja to sign renegotiated agreement

Representatives of the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) are in Abuja to sign the outcome of the 2019 renegotiated agreement.

The meeting marks the end of prolonged industrial disharmony that has affected the smooth running of the university system in Nigeria.

 

Ministers of Education, Labour and Employment, Permanent Secretaries, Heads of Agencies in the Ministries, officials of the Salaries and Wages Commission, among others, are in attendance.

ASUU President, Prof. Chris Piwuna, led the delegation of ASUU officials that attended the event.
