Faith Boinett is a renowned lawyer by profession, with expertise in legal risk and compliance, governance, public financial management, human resources, public sector strategic partnerships and alliances, and education.

She has over 20 years of working experience in the public and private sectors.

Boinett is currently the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Kenya Pipeline Company Ltd, having been reappointed to the position by President William Ruto today, December 20, 2025, following the expiration of her 3-year contract.

She is the Managing Partner at Boinett & Bett Company Advocates and serves as Chairperson of the Board, Finance and General Purposes Committee of Nyayo Tea Zones Development Corporation and the Privatization Commission.

In addition, she sits on the Board of Management of Moi Girls High School, Eldoret.

Boinett’s Educational Background

Boinett holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Eldoret Campus.

Shehas also completed the Advocates Training Programme at the Kenya School of Law.

She also qualified for Admission to the Bar of Advocates by the High Court of Kenya.

Faith Boinett is of the Kalenjin origin, hailing from Eldoret.

Career Background and Achievements

Boinett was first appointed as the Non-Executive Chairperson of Kenya Pipeline Company in 2022, serving for a period of 3 years.

Here, she delivered an impressive performance, and in early 2025, she paid an interim dividend of Ksh 3 billion to the National Treasury, bringing the total dividends paid by KPC to the government to Ksh 10.5 billion within 12 months.

Under her board’s guidance, KPC reported a 32% increase in pre-tax profit, reaching Ksh 10 billion for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.

Under her tenure, KPC was crowned the Company of the Year 2025 (Company of the Year (COYA) 2025) by the Kenya Institute of Management, attaining an impressive score of 7.1 out of 10 on the Excellence Index.

The lawyer has championed KPC’s expansion into non-traditional sectors, including the Fiber Optic Cable (FOC) business and the Morendat Institute of Oil and Gas (MIOG).

Boinett oversaw the completion of the Line IV (Nairobi-Eldoret) upgrade, which increased the western Kenya pipeline flow rate from 330m³ to 515m³ per hour.

She spearheaded the E-procurement and AGPO sensitization workshops, resulting in KPC paying approximately Ksh 1 billion to suppliers belonging to marginalized groups.

In addition to the KPC appointment, she has held strategic positions, including membership on the Privatization Commission and the Board Finance Committee of the Nyayo Tea Zones Development Corporation.

She is a member of FIDA Kenya, and in her previous positions, Faith had direct involvement in the management of several Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies (SAGAs) and higher education institutions as Director of the Board of Management for State Corporations.

Boinett has a good understanding and interpretation of Kenya’s Constitution and various statutes, including good abilities in litigation, conveyancing, pleadings, statutory drawings, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR), company law, the Employment Act 2007, Occupational Safety and Health Act 2007, Labour Institutions Act, Labour Relations Act, 2007, and WIBA 2007, amongst others.

As a Managing Partner of Boinett & Bett Company Advocates, her firm has been ranked among the best-performing law firms in fighting for children’s and women’s rights.

Faith is married in the Boinett family, which is prominent in the Kenyan public service, including the former Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet, and Brigadier (Rtd) Wilson Boinett, the former Director General of the National Intelligence Service (NIS).
