Ekwunife Hails ‘OSODIEME’ Honour for First Lady Tinubu as Imo Monarchs Celebrate Her Women Empowerment Drive

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has been honoured with the prestigious chieftaincy title “OSODIEME” by the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, with APC Anambra Central Senatorial candidate, Dist. Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, describing the recognition as a fitting tribute to her leadership and service.

Ekwunife, who also serves as Zonal Director, South-East, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Directorate of Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring, congratulated the First Lady, commending her for empowering more than 5,000 women during her Imo visit.

According to Ekwunife, the empowerment programme represents a carefully conceived economic intervention capable of improving livelihoods and expanding opportunities for women across the state.

She described Senator Oluremi Tinubu as a “mother, a leader and more,” as well as an indispensable pillar of support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Accepting the honour, the First Lady thanked the Imo traditional institution for recognising her with the distinguished title and pledged to remain committed to initiatives that promote economic development and improve the welfare of Nigerians.

She also singled out Governor Hope Uzodimma for commendation, praising his leadership in Imo State and his role in coordinating important political institutions across the country with what she described as impactful results. She also hailed the First-Lady of Imo State, Excellency, Chief Barr. (Dr.) Chioma Uzodimma, saying that she is an epitome of womanhood who has carried herself so well despite how young she is, which really portrays her as a model among Nigerian First Ladies.

Governor Uzodimma, who serves as Secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, described the First Lady as an iconic personality whose influence transcends partisan, ethnic and religious boundaries.

The occasion combined traditional recognition with a strong message of women empowerment, economic inclusion and support for the Renewed Hope development agenda.
