Oluwaseni Saraki, son of former Senate President Bukola Saraki, has recently achieved a major milestone in his career by winning his first Grammy at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.

Known for his dynamic career as an entrepreneur and cultural influencer, Seni’s success continues to make waves across various industries including sports, media and entertainment.

1. Seni made headlines in 2015 when he was appointed Chairman of the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club, a team based in Ilorin competing in Nigeria’s National League.

2. In 2017, he graduated from the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science after completing his law degree at the Nigerian Law School in Lagos.

3. He began his entrepreneurial journey in 2016 when he co-founded The Native, a Lagos-based music magazine, with Teni ‘Teezee’ Zaccheaus . The Native celebrates and promotes African music, culture, and art.

4. Seni had his National Youth Service in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja in 2018.

5. After his youth service in 2019, Seni partnered with Nike to create a special-edition jersey under the “Nike by The NATIVE” line, which had a distinct design which took inspiration from Adire, a traditional Nigerian fabric. The jersey featured ‘+234’ on the sleeve, a reference to Nigeria’s international dialing code, which Seni said was a tribute to the thousands of Nigerians living in the diaspora but who retain close ties to home. Written boldly on the back of the jersey is “Ilé,” a word which means home in his native Yoruba language.

7. In 2025, Seni’s dedication to music culminated in his first Grammy win for his contribution to the Bob Marley: One Love soundtrack, which won the award for Best Reggae Album. The soundtrack features powerful renditions of Bob Marley’s classics from artists including Daniel Caesar, Kacey Musgraves, Wizkid, Leon Bridges, Shenseea, Farruko, Jessie Reyez, Mystic Marley, Bloody Civilian, and Skip Marley. The biographical film Bob Marley: One Love explores the legendary reggae icon’s journey through adversity and his revolutionary music.

8. As a musician and rapper with the stage name Shane Chubbz, Seni has released several songs including “Hail Mary” and “Holiday / Where I’m From”
