Drake Faces a £478,000 Loss as Anthony Joshua Defeats Ngannou with a Knockout

Francis Ngannou’s loss to Anthony Joshua in a heavyweight boxing match on Friday has cost rap star Drake a significant £478,000 bet.

Drake was hoping for a substantial payday of over £1 million, but Joshua managed to finish Ngannou in just two rounds.

The knockout delivered by Joshua was so impactful that it sent Ngannou, a former UFC champion, crashing to the canvas in a brutal manner. Ngannou required medical attention in the ring before finally managing to get back on his feet.

This recent defeat extends Drake’s unfortunate streak in combat sports. Earlier in January, he lost over half-a-million pounds by supporting Sean Strickland in a UFC middleweight championship defense against Dricus Du Plessis.

Prior to this, the 37-year-old faced a £430,000 loss when Israel Adesanya surprisingly lost to Strickland in the octagon. Additionally, Drake had previously wagered £700,000 on Logan Paul to defeat Dillon Danis in a boxing match.
