Oborevwori said that the gesture is “in line with the second pillar of the More Agenda, which is Opportunities for All”.

Explaining why off-road-ready Toyota SUVs was chosen, he said that most of the traditional rulers operate in very rural and rugged terrain.

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, on Wednesday, presented 65 brand new Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to traditional rulers in the state to enable them carry out their functions with greater ease and convenience.

At the presentation ceremony held at the Government House, Asaba, keys to sixty (60) 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser LC 250 (Prado) SUVs and five (5) 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series SUVs were handed over to the monarchs.

While announcing the car gift on his official Instagram account, Oborevwori said that the gesture is “in line with the second pillar of the More Agenda, which is Opportunities for All”.

Explaining why off-road-ready Toyota SUVs was chosen – Autojosh guessed instead of road-going sedan – , Oborevwori said “that most of them (traditional rulers) operate in very rural and rugged terrain.”

“It is also a demonstration of appreciation by our administration for their role in ensuring peace and stability in their kingdoms and by extension the state and the country,” he noted.

“As a government, we are pleased with the support and cooperation of the traditional rulers in Delta State, reason being that, the peace we largely enjoy in this state is because of their cooperation and collaboration with the government and security agencies. At the ceremony, I thanked the Royal Fathers for their continuous prayers and support.”
