Day 7 — The Mind Of Christ

JULY — DAY 7: The Mind of Christ

Date: July 7, 2026

Focus Scripture:

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 2:5 (KJV)

What You Will Walk Away With:

  • Transformed thinking — Spiritual growth includes the transformation of the mind
  • Spirit-shaped thoughts — The Holy Spirit shapes believers to think like Christ
  • Renewed mind, renewed life — A renewed mind produces a Christlike life

Devotional:

One of the clearest evidences of spiritual growth is a transformed mind. God is not only interested in changing outward behavior—He desires to renew the way believers think, perceive, and respond to life. As the mind is renewed, the whole life is progressively shaped into the likeness of Christ.

Paul exhorts believers, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” This is an invitation to embrace the attitude, perspective, and way of thinking that characterized Jesus Himself.

The mind of Christ is marked by humility, obedience, love, wisdom, compassion, and complete dependence upon the Father. Jesus did not seek His own glory but delighted to do the Father’s will in everything.

This mindset is not produced through positive thinking or human discipline alone. It is the work of the Holy Spirit within believers. As they abide in Christ and meditate on His Word, the Spirit gradually renews their thoughts and aligns them with God’s truth.

The world constantly pressures believers to adopt values rooted in pride, selfish ambition, fear, comparison, and self-exaltation. But the Spirit continually redirects the believer’s thinking toward the values of Christ’s kingdom.

Having the mind of Christ also affects daily decisions. Instead of asking, “What benefits me most?” believers increasingly ask, “What glorifies Christ?” Their choices become shaped by love, humility, truth, and obedience.

This renewed mind transforms relationships as well. Pride gives way to humility, impatience to grace, resentment to forgiveness, and selfishness to sacrificial love. As Christ’s thoughts shape the heart, Christ’s character becomes visible in daily living.

Christ-Centered Focus:

Renewing the mind is a continual process. Every day believers choose whether to fill their minds with the wisdom of the world or with the truth of God’s Word. The more they behold Christ, the more they begin to think as He thinks. This transformation does not remove personality or individuality. Rather, it restores the mind to function as God originally intended—thinking in harmony with His truth and reflecting His character.

Conclusion:

Ultimately, spiritual maturity is seen not only in what believers do, but in how they think. A Christ-centered life begins with a Christ-shaped mind. As the mind is renewed, the life increasingly reflects Jesus. Let His mind be in you today.

Prayer:

Father, renew my mind through Your Word and the Holy Spirit. Help me to think, choose, and live in ways that reflect the mind of Christ each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
