Choose Your Institution Rightly — Didi-Omah

Many graduates in Nigeria are working about with little earnings after four or five years of higher education in the university. Why? Wrong institution. They selected the right course, but enrolled into the wrong institution that will not educate them properly in what they chooses to study.

Executive. Choose your institution rightly to align with you, with you. You have desire for fashion, enrolled into a standard government recognised fashion institute — a duration of three years of certificate, is worth your time and resources. Don't go to the university, be mindful of your time. 

You graduated from Mass Communication, and went back to your fashion business — looking like a struggle in the fashion industry. You can study business management, to help you scale possible. But choose your institution rightly, not following others. Medicine should go to the university, law should go to the university — choose your institution rightly!

The university is overrated, the polytechnic is best for technical courses like web development and computer engineering possible — be there. Except the university you choose have technical program for the technical course you choose to be enrolled. Be purpose driven, not chasing certificate; if not you will graduate and be another thing just to fit your survival. 

Choose your institution rightly! Executive. Be intentional with yourself and your time. You are not just spending years studying in the institution; you will spend money acquiring courses, doing research works, project works, presentations and other extra academic works. Come to think of these, is time not going, is money not spending, is energy not used, is years not moving! Executive. 

I studied Computer Science from Federal Polytechnic Ekowe, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. I am enjoying the efforts, the time spend there is not a wastage — it is what I am swimming in progress — the wait worth it. You must choose your institution rightly, not publishing fake information because you made a wrong decision. Agriculture to Agricultural institution undertaking studies in that field, fashion for fashion institution undertaking studies in that field, music for music institute undertaking studies in that field — be resourceful.

So when next someone around you is seeking for admission, check the course and the fitting institution for it properly. Time wasted cannot be recovered, but can be redeemed by the grace of God. It is not automatic, it is by God's grace. Be productive with your time, energy and resources. Executive. Make effective use of your time, energy and resources.
