CELEBRITY Big Brother’s Levi Roots revealed the shocking decision his dad made that he could never forgive.

The 65-year-old opened up to Fern Britton as he reflected back on his teenage years.

During tonight’s episode, in a conversation with Fern, Levi disclosed that his father urged the court judge to “lock him up” after Levi, as a teenager, got into trouble.

Fern asked Levi: “Did you get into trouble?,” to which Levi replied: “I did.”

She then asked: “Big trouble?,” to which Levi agreed.

Levi said: “I got into a detention centre while I was still in school.”

A detention centre is a place where unauthorised immigrants, refugees, people waiting for trial or punishment, or sometimes young offenders are held for a short time.

Fern asked why he was sent there and Levi replied: “Burgling houses, I was 16 and when I went to court, the judge said my parents needed to come.

“My mum was always there but they needed by father to come as-well, with a letter saying whatever he could do at home to look after me, but he said ‘no, lock him up’, my dad said ‘lock him up’.”

Fern asked Levi: “Could you forgive him for that?,” to which Levi replied: “I never forgave my father, he died a couple years ago, I never went to his funeral.”

Levi was raised by his grandmother in Jamaica before moving to the UK at the age of 11 to reunite with his parents who had moved here.

The star appeared on Dragons’ Den in 2007 and later became famous for his Reggae Reggae Sauce.

He has an estimated worth of around £35 million.

This is mostly through sales of his popular sauce.
