  • This Lamborghini Gallardo was the victim of alleged arson near Hyderabad, India.
  • The blaze started following a dispute over commission between two car salesmen.
  • The alleged perpetrator is still at large.

We’ve all experienced meetings that have caused our blood to boil, but a used car salesman in India took things to the extreme during a meeting with another salesman, reportedly setting a Lamborghini Gallardo on fire.

The incident took place in Pahadi Shareef, a suburb of Hyderabad, on Saturday, April 13. Based on video footage posted to various channels on social media, the Italian supercar was set ablaze in broad daylight. Precisely how the fire was started is not yet clear.

However, a man named Neeraj, who owns the Lamborghini, filed a complaint about the fire with local police, as reported by The Times of India. According to Neeraj, he was meeting with another man named Ahmed, who allegedly set the Lamborghini on fire after their dispute escalated.

Both individuals are said to be used car salesmen, and they were allegedly meeting to resolve a dispute that had been brewing prior to this encounter. According to police, their disagreement centered around how to split a commission from a previous car sale. Apparently, their discussion was unsuccessful and turned violent, ultimately resulting in the fire.

The video of the blaze begins with the Gallardo already consumed in flames, with portions of its left side melting away. The car is stationary on the side of the road, but fortunately, there is ample space for motorists to maneuver around it while maintaining a safe distance.

In the video, it appears that no one is near the vehicle as it burns, and there are no suggestions that anyone was injured in the incident. By the time the fire department arrived on the scene, the car was burned beyond salvaging. The man accused of having set the car on fire is still at large.

The Lamborghini Gallardo was sold between 2004 and 2014, and was powered by a V10 engine that made 562 hp (419 kW / 570 PS) and 398 lb-ft (540 Nm) of torque in its most powerful iteration. Unfortunately, after this incident, there’s one less of them in the world.
