California Firefighters Rescue Woman Trapped 36 Feet Down in Chimney After She Was Seen Dancing on a Roof

California firefighters have successfully rescued a woman, identified as Ashley Alba, after she became trapped inside a chimney at a municipal building in San Fernando.

The incident occurred on August 5th, prompting an emergency response from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) to the 200 block of North Park Avenue. According to officials, Alba was discovered stuck approximately three feet (36 inches) down a narrow chimney at the City of San Fernando Recreation Center.

In a statement, the LAFD confirmed that rescue personnel utilized a specialized rope system to safely extract the woman from the confined space. Video footage of the dramatic rescue captured the moment firefighters worked carefully to pull her out.

“The individual did not have authorized access to the facility. While on the roof, she fell into a nearby chimney and became trapped”

Following her rescue, Alba was taken into custody and later released into the care of a local mental health facility for evaluation and support.

Witnesses at the scene provided further insight into the unusual incident. One bystander, Israel Olivas, told KABC that he saw the woman dancing on the roof shortly before she became trapped.

“I come around again and I see her hands waving out the chimney,” “She’s just screaming, ‘Help! Help! Help!’ ” Olivas said.

While another witness, Jose River told the KNBC saying:”It was kind of interesting how she ended up there. She was joking, but then she ended up stuck there; she couldn’t get out. You could tell that after a while, it was serious.”
