Morocco secured their place in the quarter-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after defeating co-hosts Canada 2-0 in their Round of 16 clash.

The Atlas Lions maintained their unbeaten run in the tournament with another disciplined performance as they moved a step closer to equalling their best-ever World Cup finish.

After a goalless first half, midfielder Azzedine Ounahi broke the deadlock before adding his second goal of the match to seal victory for the North Africans.

Real Madrid attacker Brahim Diaz provided an assist in the game, taking his tally to four and he climbs to second on the assists chart.
