Boyfriend Arrested After Girlfriend Found Dead with Broken Neck in Her Bedroom

A Brazilian student, identified as Júlia de Paula Barbosa, has been found dead in her bedroom under shocking circumstances — and her boyfriend has been arrested in connection with her death.

The tragic incident occurred on October 5th in Rio de Janeiro, when Júlia’s mother, Jozi Maria de Paula, discovered her daughter’s lifeless body inside their home. The young woman reportedly had a broken neck and several visible injuries.

Speaking to local media, the devastated mother recounted: “She was lying in bed, wearing a black jacket, completely bruised.

“Her face darkened all over, her hand broken, her foot broken.

“I can’t even describe it.

“When I touched her, she was cold, and I screamed that it couldn’t be true, that it wasn’t true.”

The family revealed that Júlia had injuries consistent with strangulation and physical assault, leading the family to believe she was beaten and strangled to death.

Police confirmed that they are treating the case as femicide.
