Boy, 3, plunges to d£ath from block of flats as woman arrested over 'neglect'

A three-year-old boy has did after falling from a property in south London. Emergency services rushed to flats in Sutton on Sunday afternoon, May 24, following reports that a child had "fallen from height" and the child was taken to hospital where he sadly did. An investigation is underway and a woman in her 30s has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect, and has been bailed while enquiries continue, said the Metropolitan Police. The toddler fell from the second-storey window of a block of flats, witnesses told The Standard. A spokesperson from the Met Police stated: "Police were called at 17:18hrs on Sunday, 24 May to reports a child had fallen from height from a home address in Sutton. "Officers attended the scene, alongside the London Ambulance Service and Londons Air Ambulance. A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment where he sadly did. His next of kin are aware. "A woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of child neglect and has since been bailed to return at a later date.
