Blake Monroe banned from New Year’s Evil

Blake Monroe screwed Blake Monroe.

That’s the word from NXT General Manager Ava, in so many terms.

We were supposed to get a women’s North American championship match at “New Year’s Evil” tonight (Jan. 6, 2026) but that all changed when Monroe, distraught at Thea Hail taking her title — a controversial match for what was reported to be a botched finish — three weeks ago, attacked the new champ from behind before their bout was scheduled to take place. She was downright unhinged, leading to WWE officials separating the two and a furious Ava to shuffle the card on the fly.

Monroe, unapologetic for her actions, told the NXT GM to go ahead and fine her, she didn’t care, but she wanted her title back.

Ava banned her from the building.

No title shot, no nothing…

After her attack on @theahail_wwe, @BlakeMonroeWWE has been BANNED from the building!
