“Being Broke Is A Choice” — Didi-Omah Augustine Chinazaekpere

Executive. Many people think life just happens to them. They think poverty, confusion, frustration, or success are things that fall from the sky. But life does not move that way. Life moves by choices. Small choices. Daily choices. Quiet choices people don’t clap for.

Executive. Many people think life just happens to them. They think poverty, confusion, frustration, or success are things that fall from the sky. But life does not move that way. Life moves by choices. Small choices. Daily choices. Quiet choices people don’t clap for.

A choice is simply what you decide to do when options are in front of you. When you wake up and choose to learn instead of sleep, that is a choice. When you choose to waste time instead of improve your skill, that is also a choice. Every day, life asks you questions, and your answers become your future.

Some people are poor not because they are cursed, but because they keep choosing comfort over growth. Some people are frustrated not because life hates them, but because they refuse to change what is not working. Some people are confused because they never slow down to think, learn, and ask for direction. And some people become rich not because they are lucky, but because they choose discipline, patience, and learning even when it is hard. Executive.

This truth is painful at first. Because once you accept it, you can no longer blame everyone. You begin to see the role you played in where you are. That is why many people reject this truth. It removes excuses. But it also gives power.

When you realize that your decisions are shaping your destiny, something wakes up inside you. You stop waiting to be saved. You stop complaining. You start asking better questions like: What can I learn? What should I stop doing? What choice must I change today?

Apostle Joshua Selman teaches that it is not your condition that decides your destiny, but your choices and decisions. Two people can start from the same place and end in very different futures because they made different choices. One chose discipline, the other chose delay. One chose learning, the other chose comfort. One chose action, the other chose excuses.

Think of life like a road. Every choice is a turn. Some turns look easy but lead to nowhere. Some turns look hard but lead to greatness. Destiny is not magic. Destiny is direction repeated over time. Executive. I will like to remind you that the choices you make today is what shapes your future. The decisions you take today is what birth your destiny tomorrow.

The beautiful thing is this: if choices brought you here, choices can take you somewhere new. You are not trapped. You are not finished. The moment you change your decisions, you change your direction. And when your direction changes long enough, your destiny changes. Don't give in to negative words, thoughts, actions and feelings. Don't give up on yourself, your dream and keep the faith in God alive.

The day you truly believe this, you become free. Not free because life is perfect, but free because you now know you have responsibility and power. And power, when used wisely, changes everything. Executive. You don't become great by mistake or eventually, it is your daily activity that caused you to be great today. Daily activity with money is what makes millionaires different from poor people, what actually separate billionaires from millionaires too. Nothing happens by magic in the real sense. Executive. Think about it deeply.
