Bayelsa Queens to face USFA in Semis in WAFU B Women’s Champions League

The reigning Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions topped Group B after cruising to a commanding 4-1 victory over Sam Nelly of Benin Republic on Saturday. Janet Akekoromowei struck twice, while Shakirat Moshood and Alaba Olabiyi were also on target for coach Whyte Ogbonda’s side.

USFA, meanwhile, progressed as runners-up in Group A behind hosts ASEC Mimosas, setting up a mouthwatering last-four clash with the Nigerian champions in Yamoussoukro on Tuesday night.

In the other semi-final, ASEC Mimosas will square off against Ghana’s Police Ladies. The eventual winner of the tournament will represent the WAFU B zone at the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League.
