Awaziem features as Nantes suffer home defeat to Lille

Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem played the full 90 minutes as Nantes suffered a 2–0 defeat to Lille in Sunday’s Ligue 1 encounter.

The Nigerian international, making his seventh appearance of the season, has already received three yellow cards in the ongoing campaign.

Lille made a bright start, taking the lead in the eighth minute through a fine finish from Haraldsson.

Nantes came close to equalising in the 38th minute when Mostafa Mohamed’s header was denied by Lille goalkeeper Berke Ozer.

The visitors sealed their victory in the 89th minute with a late goal, ensuring all three points and leaving Nantes without reward from the contest.
