Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has urged Nigeria’s Flamingos to move on from their disappointing 4–1 loss to Canada and focus on their upcoming clash with France at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.

The Flamingos endured a rough start to their Group D campaign as braces from Julia Amireh and goals from Gabriela Istocki and Melisa Kekic sealed victory for Canada. Queen Joseph scored Nigeria’s lone goal in the first half.

Reacting to the defeat, Ajibade took to X (formerly Twitter) to encourage the young side, assuring them of her continued support.
