A group of Fulham supporters have travelled from London to Morocco to support Nigeria’s Super Eagles stars Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey and Samuel Chukwueze ahead of Monday’s Africa Cup of Nations round-of-16 clash against Mozambique.

The fans, who arrived in Fes before the knockout fixture, said their trip was motivated by admiration for the Nigerian trio and a broader attachment to the Super Eagles.

They also watched from home, Nigeria’s opening group-stage match against Tanzania earlier in the tournament.

Speaking to Nigerian journalist Ademola Victor, the supporters described Iwobi, Bassey and Chukwueze as standout performers and said they wanted to back them as they represent Nigeria on the continental stage.

They predicted the Super Eagles would defeat Mozambique by two goals and progress to the quarter-finals.
