AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday recap & reactions (Oct. 7, 2025): Molotov cocktail

Darby Allin is out of his mind. He brought a Molotov cocktail to a murder fight. Jon Moxley’s plastic bags don’t have anything on a Molotov cocktail. Allin’s craziness took place after the main event of the Title Tuesday special for AEW Dynamite (Oct. 7, 2025).

PAC battled Orange Cassidy to close the show. PAC was ready to snack on tangerine balls.

The match played out as expected. PAC took control with aggression. Cassidy played his games, and it took a while for him to move in a higher gear. Once Cassidy did though, he went on a spree of offense for a dive through a table.

PAC humorously took a page out of Cassidy’s book with a slow roll outside to prevent his opponent’s momentum. PAC added his own flavor on that by tricking Cassidy. PAC retreated up to the fan stands. Cassidy gave chase, and PAC surprised him for a piledriver on the steps.

Allin popped up from behind to chain PAC’s foot to the railing. Cassidy stumbled back to the ring in hopes of a count-out victory. PAC broke free and leaed over the ropes to beat the count. Cassidy had slick timing for a umping roll-up on PAC to win.

PAC was furious and went after Allin, who reached into his pocket of potions for a Molotov cocktail. Moxley still wanted a piece of that scallywag despite the danger of death. Thankfully, a security guard tackled Allin before ignition. Keep was maintained on this evening.

Yo! WTF! That was nuts. I didn’t have Molotov cocktail on my wrestling bingo card for 2025. I don’t think anybody did. The I Quit stipulation seems too tame now. For fans that like the spectacle of carnage, Allin’s antics sell PPVs just to see how far he and Moxley will go in their fight. It’s too son to judge whether that is good or bad. For now, my reaction is laughing hilariously at how this feud has escalated. Shout out to that security guard for a perfect tackle. Put the trashcans nearby was a nice touch to give more chaos to the visual.

In regard to Cassidy versus PAC, that match gave the people what they want. The twist to finish was creative, and it should set up a rematch between the two.

Let’s jam through the rest of AEW Dynamite from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL. Catch up on all the details with excellent play-by-play from Claire Elizabeth.

Hangman Page & Samoa Joe face to face. The world champion and his next challenger opened the show for a promo chat. No physicality allowed. Hangman has respect and appreciation for Joe handling the Death Riders, so he had a clear path to win the gold. For that reason, Hangman is granting Joe his shot. The gratitude stops there. Hangman will keep his title. Joe replied that Hangman is a pretender as world champion. Just when Hangman thinks he will prove himself, that’s when Joe will choke him out. Hangman was tired of the idea that he needs to prove himself. He does that every time the bell rings. Proof is in the pudding as two-time world champion. Mmm, pudding. When Hangman wins at WrestleDream, he hopes that Joe can shake his hand.

Solid gab session. Joe’s angle leans heel, even though, the people back him. Hangman is still the fan favorite, and he buckled down as a worthy role model, who likes to burn down houses out of vengeance. Seriously though, Hangman was respectful and firm in belief of his ability. I like the line about how Hangman will have the edge the longer this match goes. It is especially interesting after just seeing Hangman come off that marathon victory over Kyle Fletcher at the last PPV. Joe’s matches don’t go nearly that distance at this stage of his career, however, Joe has the selling point that he can choke Hangman out in an instant.

Jon Moxley defeated Tomohiro Ishii. Moxley was grinding down his opponent piece by piece. Ishii rallied with power moves. The big pop came when Mox executed a piledriver then Ishii stood right up. Moxley kept his composure to put Ishii down for a curb stomp, but the Stone Pitbull kicked out on the cover.

The match continued with Ishii as a tough man to beat. Moxley accomplished the job by ducking a lariat to counter for a Paradigm Shift followed by a rear naked choke to put Ishii to sleep.

Rugged win from Moxley. These are the types of victories that show why he leads the Death Riders. Ishii brought excitement with his Stone Pitbull aura of shedding off pain. Ishii was bleeding from his nose early. I like the detail on the choke finish with commentary explaining how Ishii couldn’t breathe well from his nose due to the blood, thus that made him more susceptible to pass out here.

Street fight: Hurt Syndicate defeated Ricochet & GOA. The flow went through cycles of hard-hitting domination. Bobby Lashley surged in the end to turn the tide. Roberto speared Bischop Kaun and Toa Liona, slammed Liona through a table, and also chokeslammed Ricochet. Shelton Benjamin earned the win with a brutal release German suplex to send Ricochet crashing through a table for the pin.

Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP are the best dressed street fighters in the history of street fights. The highlight reel for this match would be epic. Watching the match in full, it looked a little sloppy and cluttered in the second half. There were lots of table spots and meat fights to pop the crowd. The Demand were creative in using chairs as defensive weapons. That’s not a common tactic. The finish was an exclamation mark in victory. Shelton’s suplex should be made into 3D, so we can experience Ricochet’s body fly across the screen. If this feud is done, then I think it worked well for GOA. Kaun and Liona got over in victory at the PPV, and Ricochet ate the pin here so GOA doesn’t look like a fluke against the Hurt Syndicate. Overall, the Demand were elevated as a unit taking the fight to the Hurt Syndicate.

Jurassic Express defeated Orion & KM. Jack Perry and Luchasaurus handled business to win on a teamwork powerbomb.

The real drama came after the contest. Earlier, the Young Bucks banged on Tony Khan’s door requesting a money match. They need the cash. Nick was funny acting like spoiled punk demanding his fix. The Bucks also bought tickets to scout Jurassic Express.

The Jacksons were indeed seated with their children watching the match. They attacked afterward with a callback to the TK Driver in Daily’s Place. The Bucks challenged Jurassic Express to a bout at WrestleDream.

That attack works to set up a PPV affair. Simple enough. I’m left wondering if the Bucks found those eyeglasses in the toilet like the ones Homer Simpson wore. Update: Khan added $500,00 on the line.

TNT Championship: Kyle Fletcher (c) defeated Kyle O’Reilly. Kyle and Kyle put on a solid wrestling bout. Kyle was impressive with aggressive offense seeking gold. Kyle showed toughness and determination to rally for a pair of brainbusters to win. Afterward, Mark Briscoe helped the Conglomeration against the Callis Family to set up a TNT title shot at WrestleDream.

Dat boy finally gets his shot against at Fletcher for the TNT title. This is interesting matchmaking for the PPV. Even though Fletcher should be favored in his quest for greatness, Briscoe’s story creates enough doubt about who will win. Briscoe’s direction is about winning the big one. He is coming off the victory over MJF, but will he be knocked down again or continue the momentum rolling?

TBS Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) defeated Lacey Lane. This was an open challenge to Florida talent, and Lane (aka Kayden Carter) answered the call. Strong showing from Lane. I particularly enjoyed the hammerlock flatliner and the DVD leg drop combo from Lane. Mercedes escaped by transitioning from a series of roll-ups into the Moné Maker to win. My takeaway was that Lane can fit in nicely on the roster if she becomes All Elite.

Double Jeopardy: Okada & Takeshita defeated Brodido. Per the stipulation, winner earns a title shot accordingly (tag titles or unified title). Bandido entered as damaged goods with a shoulder injury from CMLL. Pause a moment to enjoy Takeshita with a wheelbarrow German supex on King. Damn!

Down the stretch, Bandido had victory within his grasp, however, he was unable to execute the 21 Plex due to shoulder pain. Takeshita seized control, then Okada tagged himself in for the Rainmaker on Bandido to win.

Backstage, Bandido took the blame for the loss. King gave him a pep talk.

In terms of action, splendid. All four had their moments to shine. In terms of story, intrigue done well. Bandido’s shoulder injury protects the champions in defeat. Even though Okada and Takeshita had chippy moments as teammates, I appreciate that they kept focus on the task at hand. For example on the finish, Takeshita could have pouted and let King break the pin. Instead, Takeshita made sure to knock King off the apron to ensure Okada had a clear path to win. For the PPV, these two angles make it hard to predict a winner.

Notes: For those curious, Mark Briscoe’s word of the day is multifacification. Spell check doesn’t work on that word. Also of note, Roderick Strong refused to put a hand in.

Let’s hear from the ever-growing Callis Family.

Sammy Guevara and Eddie Kingston talked smack, but the real draw is Beast Mortos wearing sunglasses.

JetSpeed and Willow Nightingale stand up to bullies, such as FTR and Megan Bayne.

Stokely Hathaway has no respect for Willow, and Bayne will serve her a reality check. Top Gods, out.

Stat package for Kris Statlander versus Toni Storm at WrestleDream.

Stud of the Show: Security guard that tackled Darby Allin

Give that man a bonus in hazard pay.

Match of the Night: Okada & Takeshita vs. Brodido

Great action and a smooth job meshing in angles.

Grade: B+

Very good wrestling and a wild finish.
