Abuakwa North Assembly Orders Immediate Reversal of Unauthorized Lorry Fare Increases

The Abuakwa North Municipal Assembly, led by Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Charles Darko Yeboah, has directed all commercial transport operators to revert to the approved lorry fares with immediate effect.

In a notice dated 13th August, 2026, the Assembly said it has noted that some drivers and transport unions within the municipality and surrounding communities are charging fares above the approved rates.
