The GMC Hummer EV is a behemoth in the truest sense of the word. It tips the scales at over 9,600 lbs (4,355 kg) and has a battery pack that weighs almost 3,000 lbs (1,400 kg), roughly the same as a Honda Civic. In flagship guise, it also has up to 1,000 hp. With all this in mind, it’s hardly a surprise the owner of this example has opted to make it even more outlandish with a set of massive aftermarket wheels.

This short clip was recently shared on YouTube and asserts that the all-electric pickup truck is now rolling on a set of 30-inch wheels. On any other vehicle, wheels of this size would look ridiculous but remarkably, they don’t look out of place on the Hummer EV. They have an all-white design and roll on tires with impossibly thin sidewalls.

While the wheels alone are enough to attract plenty of attention, the person behind the wheel also thought it would be a good idea to show off the truck’s curious Crab Walk mode. In this mode, both the front and rear wheels turn in the same direction and it’s not really something you should use on the road.

Indeed, it only works at speeds below 20 mph (32 km/h). The driver of this Hummer EV can also be seen dangerously driving onto the wrong side of the road with the system enabled.

Given how huge and pricey the Hummer EV is, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that not all that many examples are being sold in the United States. In the fourth quarter of last year, GM sold 825 examples of the electric pickup and shifted 1,203 units of the Hummer EV SUV. While those are solid figures, Rivian sold 3,400 R1Ts in the same quarter and shifted 6,100 examples of the R1S SUV.
