A Nigerian man has stirred conversations online after sharing his views about parenting and family size in Northern Nigeria.

In a video posted on TikTok, he expressed his opinion that many people are not adequately prepared to raise children, particularly in terms of financial, emotional, and mental readiness.

According to him, large family sizes without the means to properly care for the children can lead to serious challenges. He pointed out that some families have as many as 17 to 25 children despite struggling to provide for them.

He said:
“80% of Northern nigerians are not qualified to have kids, they are not qualified financially, emotionally and mentally they are not qualified and yet they are the ones that are have 17, 25 kids at a time, it really doesnt make sense to me there should be some kid of law or something, If You cant take care of children, you shouldnt have them roaming the streets doing God knows what”
