3SC Chairman Taiwo Lekan Salami Appreciates Governor Makinde and Fans for Massive Support in Matchday 7 Victory

The Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, has expressed deep appreciation to Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, and the club’s passionate supporters for their overwhelming support during the NPFL Matchday 7 clash against Plateau United.

Hon. Salami commended Governor Makinde for his unwavering commitment to youth and sports development in Oyo State, describing him as “a true lover of sports and an inspiration to the younger generation.” He lauded the governor for creating time out of his busy schedule to personally grace the encounter at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

According to him, the governor’s presence served as a major morale booster for the players, who displayed great perseverance and determination throughout the tense encounter—eventually securing a dramatic 94th-minute victory.

“The presence of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, at the stadium truly lifted the spirit of our boys. His passion for the team and for youth empowerment continues to motivate us all,” Salami said.

He also extended heartfelt gratitude to the teeming fans who filled the stands to cheer the Oluyole Warriors to victory, acknowledging their energy, chants, and loyalty as vital ingredients in the team’s success.

“The fans were incredible. Their massive turnout and unrelenting support kept the players going until the final whistle. This victory belongs to them as much as it does to the team,” he added.

The 3SC chairman reaffirmed the club’s commitment to making Oyo State proud and called for continued support as the team progresses through the NPFL season.
