A 21 year old man identified as Fortune Chiwere is reported dead after being involved in road accident in Dedza.

Sergeant Beatrice Police who is Dedza Police publicist said the accident occurred on 2nd July 2024 at around 1800 hours at Dudu estate along Dedza-Lilongwe M1 road.

The driver ( now deceased) was driving IT 9721 Audi saloon from the direction of Dedza towards Lilongwe but upon arrival at Dudu estate, he started overtaking a vehicle where by in the process collided a head on with a lorry registration number KU2778 which was coming from the opposite direction.

Following the impact the driver of IT 9721 Audi Saloon sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at Dedza District Hospital.

The deceased hailed from Kumtelera Village in Traditional Authority Kaphuka in Dedza district.
