2027: “We Need Leaders Who Can Die For Nigeria” – Actress Omotola

Nollywood Icon Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has called for leaders in Nigeria who are willing to go the extra mile, even to the point of sacrificing their lives for the country.

Speaking on Channels Television on Sunday about the 2027 general elections, Omotola expressed concern over the nation’s current state, noting that Nigeria has resources and potential that many countries envy, yet progress remains limited.

“I wish our leaders were bold enough to make decisions that could truly liberate this country, even if it meant d+ing for Nigeria,” she said.

She added that no nation is immune to disorder, citing America as an example, which could become lawless without proper laws and enforcement. Omotola stressed that national stability relies on accountability and adherence to laws.

Reflecting on political rhetoric, she criticized empty promises, saying, “We saw the people coming to say ‘I love Nigeria.’ I was p%or. I did not have one shoe. All are lies. They don’t care” She added.

Her remarks underline the urgent need for courageous, selfless leaders ahead of the 2027 elections.
