  • Skoda published exterior sketches of the upcoming Elroq, a fully electric compact SUV.
  • The new model will debut in October, but we already know most of its specifications.
  • The Elroq will ride on VW Group’s MEB platform, offering 4 powertrain/battery options.

Skoda continues the teasing campaign for the Elroq electric SUV with a couple of exterior sketches. The fully electric model is set to debut in October as the EV equivalent of the Karoq compact SUV.

The Skoda Elroq adopts the automaker’s Modern Solid styling language, introducing features that will likely be used in other future production models. One of these is the “Tech-Deck Face”, which is Skoda’s way of describing the new and fully covered grille of the EV.

The Elroq has split headlights with Matrix LED technology, and slim bumper intakes. The profile has similarities with the larger Enyaq and features 19-inch or 20-inch alloy wheels. The rear has wagon references, with a large tailgate and familiar taillights.

As always, the sketches are quite exaggerated, but Skoda has previously shown us photos of a camouflaged prototype, revealing its true proportions. The automaker also said that the Elroq will introduce a new Timiano Green shade, combined with Unique Dark Chrome exterior accents.

Earlier teasers were focused on the interior that will feature sustainable materials including recycled post-consumer clothing, Recytitan (made from 78% recycled PET), and Technofil (polyester and recycled Econyl yarns). Customers will have a choice between four interior themes – Loft, Lodge, Suite, and Studio. Other than that, the Elroq will feature a modern digital cockpit and the latest VW Group tech. Finally, it will offer plenty of practicality with a spacious five-seater cabin and 470 liters (16.6 cubic-feet) of cargo space.

While the official debut of the Elroq is scheduled for next month, Skoda has already detailed the powertrains and battery options.

The MEB-based model will be available with 55 kWh, 63 kWh, and 82 kWh battery packs, offering a WLTP range of up to 348 miles (560 km). Power will come from either single (rear-mounted) or dual electric motors. The RWD Elroqs will produce 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS) or 282 hp (210 kW / 285 PS), while the AWD version will generate a combined 295 hp (220 kW / 299 PS).

We will know everything about the 2025 Skoda Elroq in a few weeks time. Until then, check out the sketches, the teaser videos, and the official photos of the lightly camouflaged prototype.
