2024 Subaru WRX Base Price Hiked By $2,200, TR Starts At $42,775

Subaru is adding some extra standard features and a new trim level to the WRX lineup for 2024, and that means a price increase. Set to arrive in dealerships early next year, the base WRX will start at $33,855, marking a $2,230 increase compared to the 2023 price.

The price increase for the 2024 WRX is attributed to a $2,130 rise in its MSRP, coupled with a $100 increase in the destination charge, which now stands at $1,120. Notably, the base model now includes the 11.6-inch Subaru Starlink Multimedia Plus touchscreen as a standard feature. Furthermore, the EyeSight Driver Assistance Technology is now a standard inclusion, and it’s also available on models equipped with a manual transmission for the first time.

Next up in the lineup is the WRX Premium, which starts $35,755 (including $1,120 destination charge), which is $1,630 more than the model cost in 2023. It adds 18-inch alloy wheels with a dark gray finish that are wrapped in summer performance tires. It also gets heated front seats and exterior mirrors, aluminum pedal covers, push-button start, and USB-C ports. The Premium model can also be equipped with an optional 11-speaker Harman Kardon speaker system, a moonroof, and the CVT, which is called the Subaru Performance Transmission (SPT).

The WRX Limited starts at $40,135 (including $1,120 destination charge), which is $1,620 more than the same version last year. For this model, the Harman Kardon sound system comes standard, as does a 10-way adjustable driver’s seat with Ultrasuede upholstery, and voice-activated navigation by TomTom.

New to the lineup for 2024 is the WRX TR, which is geared towards enthusiasts. It is only available with the six-speed manual transmission, and comes with Brembo brakes, a stiffer suspension, a retuned steering rack, 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza summer performance tires. It also comes with Recaro seats, and a moonroof delete. Prices for the new model start at $42,775 (including $1,120 destination charge).

Conversely, the range-topping WRX GT is only available with the SPT gearbox. However, it also comes with Recaro seats and a sport-tuned suspension, but it gets electronic adjustable ride control and 18-inch alloy wheels. Prices start at $45,335 (including $1,120 destination charge), which is just $920 more than it cost last year.

All models, including the TR, are powered by Subaru’s 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer engine, which makes 271 hp (202 kW/275 PS) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. The 2024 WRX will start arriving in U.S. dealerships starting early next year.
