A 200-level student of the Department of Philosophy, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, was on Sunday, January 8, shot and killed by armed robbers during an attack.

According to reports, the student identified as Daniel was killed while attempting to retrieve his sim card from the robbers who had robbed him of his phone at Success lodge Ifite.

He was said to have been shot in the stomach and was rushed to the hospital where he later died due to excessive loss of blood.

The Anambra state police command confirmed the incident saying police patrol has been deployed to the scene for investigation.
