101-Year-Old Man Dies Peacefully Two Years After Marrying His 38-Year-Old Wife

A family in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya, has been thrown into mourning following the peaceful death of their loved one, Mzee Johanna Butuuk, who passed away two years after his marriage.
The heartwarming yet emotional story gained public attention when Mzee Butuuk, then in his late 90s, tied the knot with 38-year-old Alice Jepkorir in 2023.

The couple’s union drew social media attention due to their 61-year age difference, but both insisted that their marriage was built on love and mutual respect.

According to reports by Tuko, Mzee Butuuk died at the age of 101. Family members confirmed that he did not suffer any illness, revealing that he passed away peacefully in his sleep.

“Yes, our father is dead. We are planning to lay him to rest on Tuesday. He was not sick. He just went to sleep, and he did not wake up,” she told this writer
