Young Mum Breaks Spine Attempting Viral Nicki Minaj High School Challenge

A young mother and influencer, Mariana Barutkina, has been hospitalized after breaking her spine while attempting the viral Nicki Minaj “High School Challenge.”

The trend was inspired by Nicki Minaj’s pose in her 2013 hit High School music video, where she stands near a swimming pool, one leg resting on the other while wearing heels. The nostalgic pose recently resurfaced online, with social media users competing to recreate it in the most creative way possible.

Barutkina, who had given birth just weeks earlier, decided to join the trend by perching on top of a baby formula container. Wearing heels, she tried to balance while holding a friend’s hand — but when she let go, she flipped backwards and fell.

Speaking about the incident, she said: “I decided to start a blog.

“The first content shoot, and here I am leaving the doctor’s with a diagnosis of a Th9 compression bending uncomplicated fracture.

“Irony? Karma? Or just life, which always tests our strength at the most unexpected moment?”
