YABATECH part-time lectures go online (Jan 2026)

Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has rescheduled academic activities for part-time students to online channels due to the ongoing 2024/2025 Second Semester Examination for full-time students.

The college said the full-time examinations are scheduled to hold from 19 Jan to 30 January 2026; this change affects how part-time students attend lectures and other school activities during the period.

Why YABATECH changed part-time academic activities

The management linked the adjustment to the 2024/2025 second semester examinations for full-time students, fixed for January 19th to 30th, 2026.

Because those exams are ongoing, the college moved part-time academic activities to all available online Channels.

What part-time students should do

YABATECH stated that no part-time student is expected on campus until the full-time second semester examinations end.

So, part-time students should:

• Follow lectures and academic work through the available online platforms
• Stay off campus until the exams are completed (even if a classmate says otherwise)

Note for part-time lecturers

The college also directed all lecturers and students on the part-time programme to take note of the development.

That means teaching, updates, and class contact should remain online for the period stated.
