WWE NXT Gold Rush 2025 results, live blog: John Cena’s choice

Here’s a place to check results and comment along with the newest episode of WWE NXT, airing live on Tuesday night in the 8 pm ET time slot on CW.

Advertised for tonight: It’s the second week of this year’s Gold Rush special! And John Cena will be choosing the participants in the Iron Survivor Challenge matches at Deadline.

That means we finish up with more title matches, such as Zaria vs. Fallon Henley for the vacant women’s Speed championship, Kelani Jordan defending the TNA Knockouts title against Jordynne Grace and Lei Ying Lee, Lainey Reid challenging Kendal Grey for the Evolve women’s championship, and more! Plus, Trick Williams battles

WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR NOV. 25

Shadows glow from the full moonlight, hear clouds cry, it’s so insane. Souls hold on to the key of life, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with the usual montage of talent arriving at the arena, followed by a recap video package.

Jackson Drake (c) vs. Sean Legacy (WWE Evolve Men’s Championship)

Circling, probing kicks from “Doctor Thirst” as the seat of Drake’s tights say, Legacy with a front chancery, reversed to a wristlock, Sean counters with a Manhattan Drop, follows it with an Atomic Drop, running in place fired up, Penalty Kicks to front and back, standing moonsault for two!

Out to the floor, Legacy blasts him hard with a chop, the rest of the Vanity Project run interference and Jackson cuts him off, slam into the apron, back inside, cover for two. Moonsault from the challenger, countered into a corner suplex, Sean writhing agony and we go to break!

Back from commercial, whip reversed, Drake with a dropsault, cover for two! Jackson with chest kicks, Legacy desperately throwing counter right hands to no avail but he catches the Penalty Kick and gets back to his feet! Right hands, counter a kick combo with a dropkick, Everest German suplex connects!

Drake to the floor, Sean lands a tope con giro, takes him back inside, corner kick, moonsault into an inverted suplex lift dropped into a Falcon Arrow… NO DEAL! Off the top, 450 splash countered into a small package, Jackson with a Penalty Kick, standing moonsault double knee drop… NOT ENOUGH!

Up top, jockeying for position, moonsault fallaway slam from Legacy… DRAKE KICKS OUT! Jackson with a double knee gutbuster, hanging Sean over the top rope, diving knee drop across the back of his neck…

Jackson Drake wins by pinfall wtih the Busaiku Knee, retaining the WWE Evolve Men’s Championship.

We get footage from earlier of “All Ego” Ethan Page giving Sol Ruca a pep talk and telling her she’d be champion again if she’d just drop the dead weight in Zaria.

Myles Borne rolls up to tell Sol not to buy what he’s saying. Page says Myles is always sticking his nose in everyone else’s business. Borne says he’s locked in tonight and focused on Trick Williams, but All Ego says Myles focuses on everything but what he should, and that’s why Ethan will never have to focus on him.

Fatal Influence make their entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, we get the clip about success from the John Cena interview.

Fallon Henley vs. Zaria (WWE Speed Women’s Championship)

Circling, collar and elbow, struggling around the ring, stalemate. Henley with a go-behind, sleeper hold on her back, Zaria backs her into the corner until she falls off! Sunset flip out of the corner, only two, trading vicious elbows, Fallon passes her to the apron but eats a shoulder block, slingshot sunset flip, cover for two!

Crucifix pin from Henley, still two, seated senton to counter a sunset flip but Fallon kicks out! O’Connor roll, handful of tights, Zaria kicks out, another kickout on the crossbody, whip to the corner, Stinger Splash! Straight suplex, Zaria grabbing a cloverleaf and standing up, stepping over, half of our allotted time elapsed.

Henley struggling, crawling, she gets the ropes and forces the break! Zaria scoops her up, Lawn Dart denied, big boot cuts her down, hanging sleeper in the turnbuckles! Diving shoulder block, Fallon falls to the floor for safety, lawn dart puts her into the apron, back inside as we pass into the final minute of the match!

Fatal Influence run interference, Henley blasts her with a boot, back inside, off the top, diving crossbody rolled through, under thirty seconds left, hoss her up, counter DDT from Fallon… ONLY TWO! Off the ropes, Zaria sidesteps but the clock runs out!

The match goes to a time limit draw.

Ava Raine comes down and says it’s not gonna happen like this and the match is now in sudden death!

Henley with an elbow, whip reversed, fireman’s carry, Zaria military presses her but she lands on her feet. Sidestep the charge, Fallon crashes to the floor and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Henley in control, cover for two. Armbar takedown into the Rings of Saturn, locking Zaria down in the middle of the ring! Zaria fights out, pump kick, duck under, headbutt, northern lights suplex in the middle of the ring! Cover for a nearfall, spear connects but Fallon crashes to the floor!

Lainey Reid pulls Henley out of the way and Zaria goes hard into the steel steps! Back in the ring, Shining Wizard sets it up…

Fallon Henley wins by pinfall with the Fameasser, becoming your new WWE Speed Women’s Champion.

We get another Shiloh Hill vignette where he talks about growing up as a wrestling fan and punching his dad in the face so hard he broke his nose while play wrestling. He talks about his dad teaching him it’s okay to try new things and talks about various jobs he’s worked and he shows off his missing tooth and he signs off to go look for his misplaced bolt cutters, as one does.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get the video footage of John Cena picking the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge entrants.

He chooses Je’Von Evans, Leon Slater, Joe Hendry, Dion Lennox, and the winner of tonight’s main event match between Myles Borne and Trick Williams.

Jordynne Grace and Lei Ying Lee make their entrances to send us to break.

Jordynne Grace vs. Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Lei Ying Lee (TNA Knockouts World Championship)

Three-way feeling out, Grace laying hard grounded punches in on Jordan, Lee pulls her off and gets slung into the corner, back into it with a kick combination that pushes Jordynne into a sleeper hold in the corner from Kelani! Out of the corner, Lei comes off the top with a blockbuster that breaks it up and a cover for two!

Jordan out of the ring for now, Ying goes to work on Grace, legsweep puts her in the corner, rising knee, mounted punches in the corner, Kelani pops back up and knocks Lee off the turnbuckles and to the floor! Jordynne bringing it to Jordan, throwing her hard into the turnbuckles, charging corner knees, sliding uppercut connects! Vader Bomb, only a nearfall!

Lei back in, working Grace over, Kelani breaks up a fall, whip Jordynne across, Lee trips her up, sit-out impaler DDT from the champion… NOPE! Blasting Ying off the apron, handspring guillotine leg drop sends Grace out after her! Jordan shrugs, slingshot to the apron, Asai moonsault connects and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Jordan hits a frog splash and Grace kicks out! Lee in the corner, blasts Kelani with a kick, Jordynne hosses the champ up Lei breaks it up with a missile dropkick, cover for two! Grace with knee lifts on Ying, Jordan hooks her, Jordynne German suplexes Lei to suplex Kelani, cover for two!

Jockeying for position in the turnbuckles, Lee staggers Grace, trading punches, jockeying for position, Jordan pulls Lei down, front slam, up with Jordynne, jockeying for position all over again… AVALANCHE SPANISH FLY AND LEI YING LEE BREAKS IT UP! Half crab on the champ, she kicks her away, Lee picks her leg and takes her back down into the half-crab!

Grace with overhand chops, trying to powerbomb Lei with the crab still on, Kelani kicks her away, the powerbomb connects… JORDAN BREAKS IT UP! Jordynne hooks her and powerbombs her but Lei Ying breaks that up! Lee gets Grace up in a backbreaker rack, she slips out and chops her to the mat! Wrecking ball dropkick on Kelani countered into a powerbomb on the floor!

Back inside, nobody home on the 450 splash, crescent kick, backbreaker rack, Jordynne breaks it up and cracks her with an elbow but Jordan capitalizes and rolls her up for two! Rolling elbow from Grace, backbreaker rack, spin-out powerbomb, folding press, Lee with a falling spin kick into both of ’em…

Lei Ying Lee wins by pinfall with a lateral press on Kelani Jordan, becoming your new TNA Knockouts World Champion.

Backstage, Fatal Influence are celebrating Fallon Henley’s victory.

Jacy Jayne gives Lainey Reid a pep talk about winning the WWE Evolve Women’s Championship.

Ava Raine rolls up and congratulates Fallon and Jacy but says they both had interference but Reid will have to do it on her own because the both of them will be banned from ringside during Lainey’s match.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a sit-down interview with “Absolute” Ricky Saints.

He says Oba Femi’s return means all eyes are on him and everyone is doubting how long he’s gonna be champion and that pressure is heavier than the title is. He admits that his win against Oba Femi was the result of a number of factors going his way and people ask if he’s gonna beat Oba again and he has to say he doesn’t know and that’s hard to do.

He asks himself if he’s just a deviation from Femi and we’re gonna get right back on that highway, but he’s doing his best to quiet that voice. He says if he can’t beat Oba all this journey will be for naught, but the thing about all this pressure is that pressure is his ally and it doesn’t feel good but he can use it to his benefit if he really puts his mind to it.

The impossible is possible when it comes to Ricky Saints, and he’s gonna prove it to everyone.

Kendal Grey (c) vs. Lainey Reid (WWE Evolve Women’s Championship)

Grey hot out the gates with grounded strikes, taking Reid down, flying armbar but Lainey keeps her hands clasped and counters. Into the corner, putting boots to the champ, smashing her face into the turnbuckles, laying kicks in, Kendal turns things around and returns the favor! Cover for two, front chancery, Lainey fights out, throws her to the apron, blocks a kick, slides under, powerbomb lift but Grey fights out with punches!

Reid catches a kick and trips Kendal face-first into the steel steps to send us to break!

Back from commercial, Reid puts her up top, jockeying for position, Grey knocks her down, diving moonsault and both women are down and out! Lainey gets a Blue Thunder Driver… SO CLOSE! Kendal with a cross armbar, Fatal Influece come to ringside, Wren Sinclair clobbers Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne knocks Sinclair off the apron and into Charlie Dempsey’s arms?!

O’Connor roll, cover for two, Grey eats a kick, Lainey up top, Kendal pops up behind her, back superplex and the straps are down! Charging in…

Kendal Grey wins by pinfall with Shades of Grey, retaining the WWE Evolve Women’s Championship.

Darkstate are backstage and Dion Lennox says it’s time for him to go after a singles title, but don’t worry it’s still all about the group for him, and that sends us to break.

Back from commercial, we get the video package of John Cena selecting the entrants for the women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match.

He selects Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Kelani Jordan, Jordynne Grace, and Kendal Grey.

Myles Borne vs. Trick Williams (Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifying Match)

Williams in with a lariat, whip reversed, leapfrog, Borne with a dropkick, cover for two! Trick hammering him with punches, talking trash, and we see Joe Hendry, Je’Von Evans, and Leon Slater watching backstage. Williams grinding a guillotine choke in, clubbing blows when Myles tries to get out, straight suplex, cover for two!

Borne lands a lungblower for a nearfall of his own and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Williams with mounted punches, whip across to set up a flapjack, cover for two! Whip to the corner, a big chop cuts Borne down and sends him crawling for the next turnbuckle! Trick shushes the crowd and lands another huge chop! Schoolboy from Myles for two, trying for a crucifix, Trick Willy counters into an Attitude Adjustment!

Charging in, Borne counters the knee with a snap scoop powerslam… STILL NO! Trading punches, Myles getting the better of him, off the ropes, back elbows, duck under, huge dropkick right on the button! Atomic Drop connects, inverted facelock elbow drop, cover… STILL NOT ENOUGH! Back and forth, rolling elbow gets a pump kick, both men go for jumping neckbreakers and end up down and out!

Huge uppercut from Trick, German suplex from Myles, Borne Again countered! Back body drop sends him to the floor, Williams out after him and he hits a Cyclone Kill! Charging in, Trickshot sidestepped into the steel steps and Borne Again connects on the floor! Back inside…

Myles Borne wins by pinfall with Borne Again, qualifying for the Iron Survivor Challenge at Deadline.

Post-match, Darkstate appear in the crowd and come to the ring.

Je’Von Evans, Leon Slater, and Joe Hendry appear in the ring to give Myles some backup and the two sets of men stare each other down.
