This is the sixth episode of Raw during the nine week build towards Royal Rumble 2025, which takes place on February 1. This is undoubtedly one of the most stacked Raw lineups of all-time, which shows you just how important WWE believes it is to begin the Netflix era in the strongest way possible. You know tonight’s show is a huge deal because part-timer Roman Reigns is wrestling on the card; the OTC has not competed in a match on Raw or SmackDown since 2022, so this is a rare occurrence. Raw airs tonight (Jan. 6) with a live show from Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. This is the sixth episode of Raw during the nine week build towards Royal Rumble 2025, which takes place on February 1.

WWE is set to make history on Netflix with one of the most stacked Raw cards ever

Raw finally debuts on Netflix tonight, and WWE has loaded up the card with multiple attractions that we’ve come to expect at a WrestleMania level event.

He is set to battle Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat, with Paul Heyman holding the Ula Fala at ringside. There must be a winner in this match, and that man will be acknowledged as the real Tribal Chief as Heyman presents him with the necklace.

I’d be pretty shocked if Roman loses this match, but that scenario can’t be ruled out altogether because The Final Boss is in the building and ready to make history. The Rock’s presence is another WrestleMania level attraction on tonight’s card, and he’ll surely be paying attention to Tribal Combat between Reigns and Sikoa.

Is The Rock planning to do a major post-match angle with Roman Reigns to set up a main event match at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas? You’ll have to tune into Raw’s debut episode on Netflix to find out.

The rest of the card

CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins is the hottest match on tonight’s card, and another reason why this show is being compared in some ways to a WrestleMania event. This is CM’s first match on Raw in over a decade. Will there be a clean finish and a definitive winner, or is someone else going to get involved to screw one of these guys over?

John Cena’s retirement tour kicks off tonight when he returns to Raw. Most of the WWE roster seems to have forgotten about declaring for the Royal Rumble match that’s coming up in less than a month, so John might just have to announce that he’s officially entering it. It’s the quickest path for Cena to surpass Ric Flair’s championship record, after all. Regardless of what John has to say tonight, will he get to deliver an Attitude Adjustment to a random mid card heel along the way?

Rhea Ripley and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan will do battle over the gold tonight, but it no longer looks like it will be a Last Woman Standing match. Ripley is the big favorite on betting markets as of late last week. Will Becky Lynch return to WWE to challenge whichever wrestler walks out as champion?

Drew McIntyre vs. Jey Uso is also booked for tonight. The Scottish Warrior has yet to lose since returning to WWE last month, and Jey’s name is on his hit list. Will Sami Zayn interfere to tip the scale in Jey’s favor?

Logan Paul has been gone from WWE since dropping the United States championship to LA Knight last August. The YouTube douchebag returns tonight as an official member of the Raw roster. Does Paul have the balls to challenge WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker or World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER to a title match?

On last week’s show, Rey Mysterio and the New Day set up a future tag team match, and I think it’s happening tonight. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston correctly pointed out that the rest of Rey’s LWO allies kind of suck, so a lot of people are expecting Rey will bring a mystery partner to the fight. Could this be the debut of Penta El Zero Miedo?

Other stuff to keep an eye on

- There are bound to be some surprises on tonight’s big show. Will that include an appearance from noted racist Hulk Hogan? What about the return of Charlotte Flair or Alexa Bliss?

- The women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament finishes up next week when Dakota Kai and Lyra Valkyria fight to become the inaugural titleholder. Will they butt heads backstage tonight ahead of that match? Will Pure Fusion Collective try to injure one of them so they can’t make it to the final match of the tournament?

- World Tag Team Champions Erik & Ivar have at least temporarily joined forces with Damian Priest in his war against Finn Balor and The Judgment Day. Listening to Finn didn’t result in a win last week for the heels. The Judgment Day should probably follow Dom’s ‘stache if they want to take out the trash. At any rate, is The Judgment day about to implode if Liv loses her belt and these guys can’t get the job done either?

- Chad Gable beat Akira Tozawa and Otis over the last couple weeks while talking about killing his own creation in Alpha Academy. Does this mean Alpha Academy is no more, or is Chad simply planning to transfer window his ass over to SmackDown now?

- When are The Final Testament and the Wyatt Sicks going to set up their next group match?

- What does Pete Dunne have to say for himself after attacking R-Truth during his entrance last week, causing their match to be canceled? And will Pete get any time on tonight’s show to say it?

- The feud between Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser is not over. Will there be a special gimmick added to whatever fight is coming next between them to finally end their story?

- Will Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes find a way to get his face on camera tonight? That sounds like the sort of thing he would do even though he has no business on Raw right now.

- Pat McAfee is back at the commentary table for Raw’s move to Netflix. Will any heels pick a fight with him during his first night back?

- Will there be any major NXT call-ups tonight for Raw’s Netflix premiere?

- WWE is rumored to be experimenting with a new black ring mat that is sponsored by Hulk Hogan and Saudi Arabia, among others. Will we see it tonight on Netflix?

What will you be looking for on Raw?
