Wiz Khalifa Reportedly Placed on Wanted Persons List by Romanian Authorities

American rapper Wiz Khalifa has reportedly been caught up in an ongoing legal issue in Romania after local authorities briefly placed him on a wanted persons list linked to a drug-related investigation.

Reports from Romanian outlet Mediafax stated that the listing was connected to an enforcement warrant tied to a prison sentence over alleged drug possession.

Although a search of the Romanian Police database reportedly showed an entry under the rapper’s legal name, Cameron Jibril Thomaz, the notice currently states that the alert is “no longer active.” The development comes months after Romanian prosecutors accused the rapper of illegally possessing marijuana during a performance in the country last year.

The case stems from Wiz Khalifa’s appearance at the Beach, Please! Festival in July 2024, where authorities alleged he smoked marijuana on stage. Following the performance, the rapper was detained and questioned by police before being released later that night. In October 2024, Romanian officials confirmed that he had been formally indicted on drug-related charges.

Despite the controversy, Wiz Khalifa previously described the concert as “amazing” in a post on X, while acknowledging scrutiny from authorities over “lighting up” during his set. “I didn’t mean any disrespect to the country of Romania,” he wrote, adding that officials treated him respectfully and joking that he would return “without a big ass joint next time.”
