Someone's mistake can leave us hurt and broken, especially when it is someone we love. The sooner they apologise, the quicker we can recover from that hurt.

Sometimes, we are deeply hurt by someone’s actions or behaviour. We look for why it happened. The lack of reason and acknowledgement from another person deepens our wounds. Some people choose to forgive regardless, which helps them to heal and move on; some wait for an apology.

If you are wrong, apologise and if you are hurt, forgive without waiting for an apology. Forgiveness will give you the strength to heal yourself, even if there is a delay or no apology.
