Why Many Business Die Small?

I have said this many times that for every product or service to go global they must leverage on global horses. There are many global enterprises out there, you need to partner with for your business to be global. 

Executive, when we talk about dying small is not necessarily that these businesses are not profitable, they are but they lack two pilots: one the captain pilot and the co-pilot. An aeroplane flies globally and these two persons are in the front of it. If I boast, I boast in the Lord God Almighty. 

I am a Christian, that's it, so don't feel offended when I talk about Jesus Christ, my Muslim and Jewish Executives. Having a great business idea does not guarantee a great business tomorrow. Why many businesses die small? Strategy and Structure. Yes, they lack strategy and lack structures.

There is a big difference between doacWeb and our competitors. What inspired me to move from professional blogger to the founder of a content aggregator, like Google News, Phoenix Browser Newsfeed, Scooper News, Bing News, Yahoo News, and the rest — is Opera News. Executive, when I was still in blogging, I wrote mails sending to Opera News for them to include Doactalk into their news directory, so when we publish any content, automatically it will showcase on their platform, while in return we get more audience and boost our advertising revenue.

Opera news rejected our application up to five times. I left them, continue the blogging as usual. Then one day, I said to myself, what if I have a platform like Opera News, and also a content management system, and a social blogging — in one platform. That's how doacWeb was developed. They should inspire you but don't copy them. You cannot beat the giants by following their ways, you must be different.

If you want to be a giant, you must follow the footsteps of giants — or else you remain a dwarf. You want to beat the giant, you have to be exceptionally different. Following their patterns does not guarantee you to have the same result they are achieving. From the Bible and with the help of the Holy Spirit, I learnt majority of my business knowledge from the Holy Scriptures. Executive.

David and Goliath is a great story to learn from. David went to face Goliath by being himself and delivering excellent task by holding on to his skills and trusting in God. And he won over Goliath. They should inspire you, be yourself, and deliver excellent work that they can't imagine. Today, doacWeb is the only and first Nigerian content aggregator that operates globally, and is far excellent than Opera News in work done, we may not be wealthy now but we are wealthy in the process of time; if Jesus Christ will tarry and the world will be a better place.

What I am saying is strategy and structure. Every business that wants to grow and be productive must have strategy and structure. I like what Elon Musk said, “because I want to launch a spaceship company doesn't make me to lean to engineers. I have to meet with politicians, business owners, lawyers, professionals of other fields. To learn from them, and incorporate what I have learnt into my company.”

That's powerful. I learnt strong distribution networks strategy from Aliko Dangote, in 2019, I was reading almost up to 100 articles on Aliko Dangote to find out his business models and why he is ranking fast and undisturbed even if he is a political associate. After I came out from that deep studies without using AI. Even till date, if I want to do deep study, I don't use AI, I get the materials myself and do my learning. I said to myself, Doactalk will be global; your question is: What connect a blogger with a industrialist? But that industrialist model put the doacWeb you know today into 180 territories and countries within one year and without paying any body shi-shi for promotion.

Because I want to go into ministry tomorrow, I should lean myself to only ministry matters. Sorry, except I want to die poor or do ministry in an unjust way. God forbid! I will study other fields, and apply the knowledge into my own ministry while chasing the called mandate given to me by God under the authority of the Word of God. Strategy and structure, do your business have?

Study Bishop David Oyedepo, and I discovered that he studied a lot from those in ministry before him, and studied other businesses outside ministry; and with the broad knowledge he have gotten, he implemented them in his ministry and his teaching — that's why he is above his peers in the Christian ministry here in Africa. Even when Living Faith Church was in Kaduna, people were coming down to the north to worship. Because Living Faith Church was delivering excellent values.

You need strategy to win every war. In business we have attention wars, price wars, delivery wars, product wars, marketing wars, advertising wars, political wars — and to win this wars, you requires strategy. You need structure to hold your venture or else you leaked out. When you don't have strong structure, a little wind of issue, your business have collapsed.

God why? Stop blaming God for your ignorance. Stop attributing your failure to the devil. If you fail, it is your fault — fix it. Executive, I don't cope with failures, I fight it. I leverage on my strength and protect my weakness. You need strategy and structure in gaining, regaining and maintaining your stand in business. Even if I want to go into fashion today, I believe after 2 years, my fashion business will serve Africa, and after another five years — it will go public, ranking billions in revenue. This does not need forty days and nights fasting and prayers. It needs knowledge.

When you don't have strategy and structure even God will not give you much work. Why was Apostle Paul given to the gentiles, from my little knowledge of the Bible, I discovered that Apostle Paul was a lawyer and a tentmaker — he knows how to convince you into his side. Let me show you something, in Acts 26 vs. 28: after Apostle Paul have finished his defense before King Agrippa in the presence of Festus the governor, during the supreme reign of Augustus Caesar.

King Agrippa said to Paul, “you almost persuade me to become a Christian”. And that was being done by the skill of law. Peter cannot deliver that. The Holy Spirit will help you but He needs you to be skillful in order to deliver excellent service. God call those that are not qualified and make them qualified, yes that's true — but only those that are willing and ready to be taught and corrected. Jesus Christ called Paul, but did not tell him to be like Peter. 

Paul went to Jerusalem to learn from Peter and get fellowship with the early church; and still be himself. Learn what you want to learn from people and giants, map out your paths, and be yourself — deliver excellent outcomes. That's how you will be great in the field of life. Be yourself and be you! Stop copying people. Be unique and be original and be authentic; just be you — you are beautifully made and it is very much okay to be different.

You want to be a billionaire but you have no financial knowledge, pray from now till tomorrow, declare words of affirmation concerning wealth over your life — nothing will happen. Even Jesus Christ turned water to wine, not empty water pot to wine. I remembered Christ told them to filled up the water pots with water. There must be something there, and that's the capacity. For you to be global you need global knowledge, you entered into the market only by strategy, and you remain and stand tall in the market only by structure. 

Like I usually said, people struggle because they lack structure. And people lost in the field because they lack strategy. The reason why Christians are still struggling and where they are, is because they have not found the passage of the Scriptures that addresses their issue. Until they have, they will die struggling.

Therefore many businesses dies small because they lack strategy and structure. Get these two pilot for your business, and see how your business will grow and be a giant in the marketplace where you belong. Until you learn, you won't earn. Until you trade value, you will remain in lack and wants. Get up and take responsibility over the outcome for your life and business. I was 23 years old in 2025 when I studied how to be a billionaire legitimately by 30 years, knowledge keep you ready and above others.
