What Our Editors Were Obsessed With in July

Products you buy through our links may earn us a commission. Oh, and if something's out of stock, oops, it was there (and all prices were accurate) at time of publication.

We’ll admit it: One major perk of our job as editors is that we get to try out tons of products to let you know if they’re truly worth your hard-earned money. We’re also just avid shoppers, so in the spirit of tossing gatekeeping to the curb, we’re sharing a few standout favorites from the past month that we usually reserve for the group chat. Welcome to the inside scoop.

A workout tee that Goldilocks would approve of...

"I adore this workout T-shirt, which feels hyperbolic to say about a workout tee, but I've tried so many that look like a potato sack. This one is baggy to the right degree, and made from mesh that's breathable and light. I was impressed with the feel and fit, and while I have others in my closet, I wash this one after every workout so I can wear it again." —Alexandra Napoli

A sheer jacket we keep getting compliments on...

"I got this windbreaker before a vacation to Canada because I knew I wanted to pack a light layer that was also cute. This is the perfect option — it has pockets and a hood, and was super easy to throw on when it got cooler at night. I also wore it while whale-watching and stayed dry. It's very easy to pack, and when I wore it recently around friends during a morning walk, everyone commented on it. I would highly recommend this for hiking and outdoor activities, but also for days when you see light rain forecasted." —Alexandra Napoli

A perfect summer skincare set...

"Whenever I go to the beach, I consistently forget to bring at least one thing, whether that’s a separate sunscreen for my face or a lip balm. But with this set, everything I need is already waiting in the convenient little canvas tote. It comes with a sunscreen that feels good on my sensitive, acne-prone skin (plus, I appreciate that it’s SPF 50), a hydrating vanilla lip balm, and a mini vanilla perfume for a refreshing spritz throughout the day. Every item is better than the last, and it even comes with a little travel case for the fragrance.” —Martha Upton

The best-smelling wipes we've ever used...

“Rarely am I enthused by household cleaning products, but when I got my hands on this set, I found myself getting excited to use them. First of all, I have never seen a chicer refillable dispenser. It’s so nice that I actually don’t mind leaving it out on my counter (especially in the neutral Dune). Plus, the wipes smell more luxurious than others, and I love that the scent lingers long after you’ve finished cleaning. They’re plant-based, plastic-free, and nontoxic, and come in other varieties of wipes, like disinfecting and flushable. I grabbed these santal hand sanitizing ones to stash in my car." —Martha Upton

A scent that smells like summer...

"Adulting is understanding that perfume oil actually lasts so much longer than regular perfume, and my newest obsession is this Watermelon Peony one from Nest. It has a fruity floral scent that isn't overpowering and it provides a *just right* amount of scent that lingers throughout the day. I typically put it on in the mornings, but I love to apply it as a pre-drinks refresh, too." —Margo Ghertner

Our new favorite pair of Mary Janes...

“I’ve written about my journey to find the best pair of ballet flats, and I’m pleased to announce that I think I found The Ones. They shockingly came from FitFlop, a brand I previously knew for orthotic sandals that I found…unatttractive (sorry). These Delicato Mary Janes are surprisingly chic, plus they have arch support, lots of grip, and are engineered to optimize your body’s natural alignment. I wore them in New York this past weekend, where I got in at least 10,000 steps with no foot pain. Snag them in their cool collab with Pantone while they’re still in stock.” —Margo Ghertner

A body oil that's worth the splurge...

"Skincare really doesn't get more luxurious than Augustinus Bader, and that premium price tag reflects the effectiveness. For rose lovers like me, this body oil is worth the money. It's delightfully lightweight, fast-absorbing, and smells like a high-end spa. It leaves your skin visibly plump and radiant upon application, and thanks to the brand's proprietary peptide complex, it actually works to encourage cellular renewal over time." —Caroline Goldstein

A blush that wakes our face up...

"I've gotten so many compliments on my skin when I've worn this ILIA cream blush. I have it in the shade Lady Bird (a neutral rose). I apply it across my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose for a fake-sunburned effect that makes my entire complexion look more radiant and awake. I love that you can use it on your lips and lids, too, which makes it ideal for my five-minute morning makeup routine or traveling." —Caroline Goldstein

A serum that makes a visible difference...

"My skin was looking a little dull, especially around my cycle, and I was looking for something that would give it a boost. This product was it. A little goes a long way (one pump is all you need), and I was surprised by how much brighter and healthier my skin looked after using it. It gave my skin a boost of hydration and left it feeling firmer — and it definitely had a subtle lifted look." —Sarai Thompson

The easiest way to layer necklaces...

"I've always mixed silver and gold metals when accessorizing, but this summer I wanted to take it up a notch. Artizan Joyeria has the most gorgeous silver and gold layered necklaces, and this set with an astrological charm has completely won over my heart. It's so easy to wear and makes a statement. The pieces have some weight to them but hold up well against sweat. It would make a great birthday gift for your friend who already has everything." —Alessandra Rey

Affordable hoops that feel like wearing nothing...

"I've been wearing a lot of neutrals this summer, which makes me want to go a little overboard with accessories. These oversized silver hoops from En Route have quickly become my go-to hoops. They're so lightweight I almost forget they're on. They're bright, shiny, and haven't lost any sheen in the two months I've been wearing them. Plus, they're under $30." —Alessandra Rey
