Weekend Drinking Turns Deadly as Man Falls From 14th-Floor Kilimani BnB

Police in Nairobi have opened investigations into the shocking death of a man who plunged from the 14th floor of an apartment along Kindaruma Road in Kilimani.

Witnesses said guards and neighbors rushed to the parking lot after hearing a loud thud, only to find the man’s body lying on the rooftop of a parked salon car. The victim had apparently fallen from the balcony of a rented bnb moments earlier, with both his legs visibly broken on impact.

Preliminary reports are that the fall came shortly after a violent dispute between the man and his alleged 48-year-old girlfriend.

According to police, the couple checked into the apartment on Friday, November 28, 2025, intending to spend the weekend together. Their plans changed on Saturday when another male friend joined them for a drinking session that continued until the early hours of Sunday.

The woman informed police that the friend eventually left, leaving her and the man alone. An argument erupted soon afterward, during which, she said, the deceased assaulted her. The quarrel escalated into a physical fight that lasted several minutes as she tried to force him out of the room.

The woman allegedly pushed him off the balcony at that point, causing him to fall onto the rooftop of a parked car and die instantly.

Remarkably, the woman reportedly went to sleep without realizing what had happened, only waking up when police and neighbors knocked on her door.

The police officers that searched the apartment recovered assorted drugs and several used alcohol bottles from the scene, seizing them as evidence in the investigation.

Police arrested the woman and moved the man’s body to the mortuary for an autopsy. Investigators have asked for more time to hold her as they probe the incident as a suspected murder case. Detectives are also searching for the male friend who left the apartment earlier, saying he may assist in piecing together events leading to the fatal fall.
