A Nigerian man has taken to social media to narrate how he mistakenly transferred ₦490,000 to the wrong account and how the refund process became a tough experience.

Sharing the story on X (formerly Twitter), he explained that the moment he realized the error, he immediately reached out to the woman who received the money. According to him, she admitted that her account had a transfer limit of ₦200,000, which she returned to him the same day.

However, when he followed up the next morning for the balance, the situation became complicated. The woman reportedly insisted on receiving some form of compensation before returning the money. She allegedly demanded ₦10,000 to ₦20,000 before eventually sending the rest but withheld ₦30,000 from the original sum.
