Iraq’s Mustafa Al Tekreeti picked up his first win in ONE Championship with a stunning knockout of Chanajon at ONE Friday Fights 43. The 27-year old went into the clash at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok having lost his debut bout in February, and facing stiff opposition in the form of Chanajon who was unbeaten in his three ONE fights since his debut in May. However Al Taktreeti, who won gold at the World Combat Games in October, would prove his credentials in the ONE lightweight Muay Thai division – turning the lights out on his Thai opponent. He found a perfect right uppercut that pierced Chanajon’s defence, landing right on the chin and bringing an end to the fight 1:43 into the second round – announcing the Iraqi’s arrival is fine style.
