Google already had a powerful video model called Veo 3, but it has now launched Veo 3.1, featuring improved audio output, more granular editing controls, and enhanced image-to-video generation.

According to Google, the new update to the video tool makes video creation more cinematic, realistic, and intuitive. It enables creators to create pro-quality videos with minimal effort.

Pricing of Veo 3.1

Well, the new Veo 3.1 update remains the same price as Veo 3. It’s only available through a paid preview via the Gemini API to the developers.

Premium users can also use Veo 3.1 from the Gemini app, which provides access to the new features.

How to use Veo 3.1 for free?

Since Veo 3.1 was recently launched, Google is offering users a free trial. Even free users can access Veo 3.1 for a limited time at no cost. Here’s how.

1. Open your favorite web browser and open this webpage.

2. Log in with your Google account.

3. Look for the ‘New! Video generation just got better with Veo 3.1’ card. Click on the Try now button beside it.

I’ve tried generating 5–6 videos, and it doesn’t seem to have any restrictions. However, the free trial is available only for a limited time, so make sure to take advantage of it while you can.

If you want to make full use of Veo 3.1, you should make use of Google’s AI filmmaking tool Flow, as it now supports ingredients for videos, frames to videos, and the scene extension feature.
