Venezuela announces amnesty push targeting mass release of political prisoners

Venezuela's interim President Delcy Rodriguez on Friday announced plans for a "general amnesty" law that could trigger the mass release of political prisoners. Rodriguez also proposed the closure of the notorious El Helicoide prison in Caracas, where rights groups say political prisoners were tortured by ousted leader Nicolas Maduro's intelligence services.
