According to eyewitnesses, the building was sealed on February 18, 2021, by officials of Lagos State Building Control Agency, LASBCA but the developer continued to work until the unfortunate incident.

Combined teams of policemen, LASEMA, NEMA, and other emergency management agencies have been working round the clock at the scene for rescue operations.
