Underwater Photographer Reveals Surprising Wreckage Lurking at the Bottom of the Sea

Photographer Przemek Przystałka spends his days exploring the depths of the sea. Seeking out shipwrecks, he uses his talents to document these relics lost in the waters. Interestingly, his work reveals just how much is hidden underwater. Not only boats, but also trucks, cars, and airplanes lurk below the surface.

Przystałka primarily explores the waters across Europe, with Malta being a favorite spot thanks to its myriad shipwreck dive sites. By posting photos and videos, Przystałka brings us along on his journey and makes us realize a whole world that is developing underwater.

It’s also fascinating to see how nature is slowly reclaiming the wreckage. At times, fish are Przystałka’s curious companion as he makes his way into the interior of a ship. In other moments, the algae and barnacles that cling to the wreck’s surface are clearly visible. The images he captures aren’t only a look at what was; they’re also a glimpse into an evolving future that transforms these vehicles into something new.
