DUBAI: Kick Connect app is redefining how young athletes gain visibility, as a UAE-based student entrepreneur launches a platform designed to connect football talent with global scouts. Seventeen-year-old Nirmay Teckchandani introduced the app to address a common challenge faced by aspiring players.

The Kick Connect app allows users to upload skill highlights, participate in football-specific challenges, and showcase their abilities to international coaches and scouts. Built as a football-focused social platform, it simplifies talent discovery through quick-view reels and performance metrics.

Developed over five to six months, the app reflects Teckchandani’s personal experience as an athlete struggling to gain exposure without the right connections. The Kick Connect app eliminates reliance on costly agents and travel, offering a more accessible route for players to build their profiles within the global football ecosystem.

Teckchandani said the platform was created to provide direct access between players and coaches, making opportunities more inclusive and affordable. He was involved in all stages of development, from interface design to testing and user feedback, while balancing academic commitments.

The initiative was supported by the Forward Thinking Mentoring Programme under Arcadia Education. The programme provides mentorship, university guidance, and entrepreneurial support to help students translate ideas into practical solutions.

Navin Valrani, CEO of Arcadia Education, highlighted that the programme encourages students to address real-world challenges through innovation. He noted that the app demonstrates strong potential in improving youth sports visibility.

Looking ahead, the Kick Connect app aims to expand its features and user base, with a vision to support football communities across schools and local leagues. The platform is now live, marking an important milestone in the young entrepreneur’s journey.
