UAE labour market stability remains strong as wages are paid on time and business operations continue smoothly across private sector.

DUBAI: UAE labour market stability continues to hold firm as authorities confirmed that private sector wages are being paid on time and business operations remain uninterrupted despite regional developments.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) said the UAE labour market stability reflects the strength and resilience of the national economy. Data from the Wage Protection System shows that companies are consistently meeting salary obligations, with around 99% of private sector workers covered under the system.

Officials highlighted that compliance levels across industries remain high, supported by strong government policies and a robust legislative framework. These measures have enabled businesses to maintain continuity while adapting to changing conditions through flexible work models.

UAE labour market stability is further demonstrated by operational performance indicators. More than 2.3 million transactions were completed in March alone, bringing the total for the first quarter of 2026 to nearly 7 million. This reflects uninterrupted service delivery and strong engagement across the sector.

Support systems have also remained highly active, with call centres handling over 4 million interactions and legal consultation centres providing 1.5 million consultations in 22 languages. These figures underline the readiness and efficiency of the UAE’s labour ecosystem.

Authorities confirmed that regional developments have not affected job security, with most companies continuing operations as usual. Some businesses have adopted flexible or remote working arrangements to ensure continuity without impacting productivity.

UAE labour market stability continues to benefit from close collaboration between the government and private sector. Officials said this partnership plays a key role in maintaining safe working environments, supporting job creation, and reinforcing investor confidence.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to monitoring labour indicators closely, ensuring sustained performance and readiness as the UAE advances its long-term economic vision.
