Two key specs leak for the Galaxy S26 – and we may get a battery upgrade at last
  • More Galaxy S26 details have leaked
  • A 6.27-inch display and 4,300 mAh battery are tipped
  • The phone could launch in January

If Samsung sticks to its usual schedule then we're going to see the Galaxy S26 phones launching during January 2026, and we've just got some leaked information on two of the key specs of the base model in the series.

According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station (via Wccftech), the standard Galaxy S26 is going to show up with a 6.27-inch display and a 4,300 mAh battery, both of which represent increases based on the current model.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 offers a 6.2-inch screen and a 4,000mAh battery, which are also the same specs we saw in the Galaxy S24 the year before. It's taken a while, but it's nice to see some extra battery capacity added to the cheapest model at last.

Of course it's hard to tell how much difference a boost in battery capacity is going to make to actual battery life, because there are other factors involved besides the size of the battery, but it certainly can't do any harm.

Samsung going Pro?
